【Assam Black Tea】 In 1936, the Japanese established the "Yuchi Black Tea Experiment Station" on Mount Maolan by Sun Moon Lake in Yuchi Township and introduced Assam tea varieties from India to develop the black tea industry. It was once ranked among the top at London auctions and was also a prized possession of the Japanese Emperor. From the 40s to the 60s of the Republic of China, it was a major export product of Taiwan's agricultural sector. The tea has a deep red color, with a rich and mellow taste that carries a natural malt aroma. Besides being enjoyed on its own, it is also suitable for making milk tea by adding fresh milk, which turns the tea into an amber color. The tea aroma is accompanied by a milky fragrance, making it excellent in "color," "aroma," and "taste," with different flavors when consumed hot or cold.

【阿薩姆紅茶】 1936年，日本人在魚池鄉日月潭畔之貓囒山設立「魚池紅茶試驗支所」，並自印度引進阿薩姆茶種，發展紅茶產業 ，亦曾在倫敦拍賣會中名列頂級，也是日本天皇的御用珍品，民國四十年至六十年間，更是台灣農產品外銷主力。茶湯水色深紅，滋味濃郁甘醇帶有天然的麥芽香；除單獨飲用外，亦適合加入鮮奶調製成奶茶，茶湯轉成琥珀色，茶香中伴隨著奶香，「色」「香」「味」俱佳，且冷、熱飲用各有不同之風味。
